We price postcard packs close to cost because the point is to make sending feel casual. Over time, Mailroom can make money from larger packs, gift add-ons, and other ways people keep in touch.
No. Send your friend a link from the app and they can share their address with you privately. They fill it in once, you never see it directly, and we use it to mail the card. Their address stays theirs. (You can also enter an address yourself if you already have one.)
Every Mailroom postcard has a small QR code on the back. When your friend scans it, they're invited to download the app, and we'll give them a free card to send back to you. No subscription, no commitment, just a way for the magic to keep going in both directions. The going-back-and-forth is the whole point.

A week, end-to-end. We print and drop in the mail within 1-2 business days of you sending. USPS First-Class delivery takes another 3-5 business days from there. Faster if you're in a major metro, slower for rural addresses.

If a card comes back as undeliverable, we let you know and credit you for another send. If you have the address right and it just gets lost in the mail (rare but happens), email us and we'll resend.
